taught at the Domus Academy in Milan and at the École des Arts Décoratifs

Grand Prix National de la Création Industrielle

first architectural project implemented: administration buildings for the Asahi Brewery in Tokyo; designed the multifunctional building Nani Nani in Tokyo

1990
designed the Teatriz restaurant in Paris and Green Baron office building in Tokyo; planned the Red Baron

1992
Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects for the Paramount Hotel, New York

1993
designed the prefabricated house Starckinette for the company Les 3 Suisses

1999
together with John Hitchcox, founds "Yoo" for design, branding and marketing

receives numerous awards and honours, including the Good Design Award and Design Prize Switzerland

Philippe Starck works in nearly all areas of design and has also been active for a number of years as an architect. His enormous productivity and novel ideas have made him a star in the design world.
