The resulting artworks tell evocative st ories that are at once provocative and ironic. From 20 July to 24 November 2019\, the Vitra Design Museum Gallery presents a solo exhibition tracing Ginsberg’s journey as an artist and critical designer. Trained in archi tecture and interaction design\, she has been especially interested in the emerging technoscience of »synthetic biology« – the design of living matter. Within this context\, Ginsberg has been intrigued by the premise t hat underpins all approaches to design: the desire to make things »better «. But what exactly does better mean? Better for whom? And who decides? T hese questions\, which are crucial in times of radical technological and s cientific advances\, are the basis of »Better Nature«. \nOpening: 19 Jul y 2019\, 6 pm\n\nMore\n\nImage:\nAlexandra Daisy Ginsberg with Christina A gapakis of Ginkgo Bioworks\, Inc. and Sissel Tolaas\, Resurrecting the Sub lime (digital reconstruction of a lost landscape)\, 2019 \n© Alexandra Da isy Ginsberg DTSTART:20190720T000000 DTEND:20191125T000000 LOCATION:Vitra Design Museum SUMMARY:Ausstellung - Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg: Better Nature END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
