Vitra Design Museum is open daily from noon to 5 pm!

Official certification of vaccination or recovery required for a visit at the Vitra Design Museum / FFP2 face masks are required / Architecture and exhibition tours take place regularly / Gastronomy open

An official certification of vaccination or recovery is required for a visit at the Vitra Design Museum, the Vitra Schaudepot, the Vitra Design Museum Gallery and the gastronomy as well as for participating in guided tours and workshops.

Please provide one of the following certificates:

  • Digital certificate (QR code) of complete vaccination (at least 14 days and maximum 9 months old)
  • Certificate of recovery (at least 28 days and maximum 3 months old)
  • Certificate of booster vaccination


An official certification of vaccination, testing or recovery is required for shopping at the VitraHaus and the shop at the Vitra Schaudepot.

Please provide one of the certificates listed above, or one of the following:

  • Officially certified negative antigen rapid test (max. 24 hours old)
  • Officially certified negative PCR test (max. 48 hours old)

FFP2 face masks are required in all buildings on the Vitra Campus, this also applies to workshops. Registration for contact tracing is required on site. Tickets can be booked in advance: www.design-museum.reservix.de

Gastronomy
The VitraHaus Café offers hot dishes daily from noon to 5 pm. A take-away selection of drinks and snacks will continue to be available. 
The Depot Deli is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 am to 2 pm.

Safety and Hygiene Measures:

  • FFP2 face masks are required in all buildings on the Vitra Campus, this also applies to workshops
  • We ask our visitors and guests to display responsible behavior: Wash your hands thoroughly, keep social distancing (min. 1,5 meter), please stay at home if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms, don’t shake hands, use your elbow if you need to sneeze or cough etc.
  • Spit protection has been installed at all receptions, cash registers, and shops on Vitra Campus
  • Floor markings and information points help to guide guests
  • Payment with debit or credit card is preferred (cash payments are still possible)
