Open Design – The ZipStitch Chair | WORKSHOP (DE)

Due to the rise of modern technologies, such as 3D Printing, and enhanced by the possibilities of the internet, the vision of Open Design – Design that is available to everyone, to be manufactured, adapted and shared – seems more accessible than ever before. Plans for furniture or 3D printing data for accessories can easily be downloaded from websites. After an introduction into the topic, each participant builds the ZipStitch Chair by the American blogger and designer Ben Uyeda (HomeMade Modern) as an example of Open Design.
