Family Day on 9 August 2025 in the meadow surrounding the Buckminster Fuller Dome on the Vitra Campus
Bring the whole family: the Vitra Design Museum and Vitra invite you to the Vitra Campus for Family Day on 9 August 2025, taking place in the meadow surrounding the Buckminster Fuller Dome. The varied family-friendly programme offers activities for visitors of all ages. Discover the exhibitions in the Vitra Design Museum and the Schaudepot with numerous interactive displays and activities. Immerse yourself in the colourful world of design and develop new creative and artistic skills in our workshops. Organised on a drop-in basis, the workshops offer the flexibility to come and go as you like.
Three time slots are available for booking:
from 9.30am–12.30pm, 12.30pm–3pm and from 3–6.30pm.
Diverse food and drink options are available on the Vitra Campus to keep you refreshed and energised.

Explore your artistic side and decorate your own flower pot. In our pot painting workshop, you not only have the opportunity to express your creativity, but will also sow the plant seeds and can look forward to seeing them flourish.

Important information:
Participation in the DROP-IN workshops is open to children and youths aged four and up, accompanied by at least one adult.
As the number of seats in the workshops is limited, a maximum of two accompanying persons per child/youth are permitted.
Tickets can be booked for the following time slots: 9:30 am–12:30 pm, 12:30–3:30 pm and 3:30–6:30 pm. Participants may join as many workshops as they like within the three-hour time slot.
In good weather, additional seating and lounging areas are available on the lawn by the Buckminster Fuller Dome and in front of the VitraHaus.

The discovery tours are free of charge. Children under the age of 13 enjoy free admission with valid proof of age. Accompanying adults are required to purchase an exhibition ticket.
OUDOLF GARTEN SEEK-AND-FIND GAME (DE & EN)

Get to know the Oudolf Garten with a fun seek-and-find game and win a small prize from the garden.
The game can be picked up and returned at the reception desks of the Vitra Design Museum, Vitra Schaudepot and VitraHaus. Participation is free of charge.
