Carlo Ratti – Senseable Cities / TALK (EN)

Architect and engineer Professor Carlo Ratti teaches at the Massachusetts Institute of Techology (MIT), where he directs the Senseable City Lab. He is founding partner of the design and innovation office Carlo Ratti Associati. His work has been exhibited in places like the Venice Biennale, New York’s MoMA and London’s Science Museum. Two of his projects – the Digital Water Pavilion and the Copenhagen Wheel – were hailed by Time Magazine as »Best Inventions of the Year«. In his lecture, he will explore how the increasing deployment of sensors and hand-held electronics is allowing a new approach to the study of the built environment. Free admission
