11 am - 6 pm, Vitra Campus (meeting point: VitraHaus)

As part of the Open House Basel, we will be showing two highlights of Japanese architecture on the Vitra Campus: the Umbrella House by Kazuo Shinohara and the Tane Garden House by Tsuyoshi Tane. During the tour, you will first visit the Tane Garden House and then the Umbrella House - two buildings that embody various ideas in a small space. Find out what connects the designs, which are six decades apart, and what we can learn from them today.
