Plastic and the Industry
DIGITAL TALK (DE) | 21 July 2022
6 pm, YouTube

Plastic goods shape our daily lives, and it has become obvious that a move towards a more responsible use of plastic is urgent. BASF, one of the largest chemical companies worldwide and co-founder of Alliance to End Plastic Waste as well as the dowel manufacturing company Fischer will be giving insight on the engagement of the industry and their key role. The talk between Andreas Maegerlein, leader of the Creation Centre Europe at BASF and Armin Heß, spokesman for the mounting system and distribution management of the company Fischer, will focus on the challenges and initiatives with the material plastic. Together with Jochen Eisenbrand, curator of the exhibition “Plastic: Remaking Our World”, they will discuss how companies can reduce CO2 emissions, plastic pollution and move towards a more circular economy.

Food and plastic – both originate from nature. This evening will give inspiration on how to combine culinary fulfilment with a more sustainable use of plastic. The museum visit will be followed by a short tour of the Oudolf Garten and an open-air dinner on the Place Jean Prouvé, combining culinary delights with sustainability.
